Event 1 - InfoDay - La Coruña 15th of April 2015 - local event

Participation: Have come together 33 citizens from local community of La Coruña.
Place/Date: the event was held in La Coruña (ES) from 15th of April 2015 to 15th of April 2015

Description:
The Infoday was carried on by means of a workshop on the theme of Digital Agenda for Europe / Europe 2020. Furthermore, the participants have reflected about the Treaty of Lisbon and about citizens participation to democratic life. The activities of the meeting started with the presentation of the project, of the european network supporting the project and the objectives to achieve at the end of the activity, with a particular attention to the use of ICT tools. During the event was also carried out an analysis of the needs of Community in with regards the topics of the projects. These needs were then compared to the point of view of policy makers towards the request of citizens to participate at the democratic administration. The partnership then presented the contents of the questionnaire to be submitted to participants and the aim of the survey. During the event was also presented the figure of "Digital animator" and the important innovative role of this figure within the project. In addition, the questionnaires were filled in by participants and, following the analysis of territory, proposals to answer the digital needs of citizens concerning to the principles of Digital Agenda for Europe, have been made.

Event 2 - International Conference from 8th to 11th of June 2015

Participation: 65 citizens, 18 from:
- Italy nr. 6 participants from Reggio Calabria;
- Bulgaria nr. 4 participants from Sandanski;
- Poland nr. 4 participants from Gniew;
- Portugal nr. 4 participants from Cuba;- Spain nr. 47 participants from La Coruña.
Place/Date: the event was held in La Coruña (ES) from 8th to 11th June 2015

Description:

The topic dealt with the citizens during the Infoday held in April in La Coruña by the spanish regional partner, was deepen during the International Conference with the participation of policy makers of each regional partnership. The event was held inside the Multi-Purpose Auditorium "Ágora" inside the Municipality building of La Coruña. The local councillor of Labor and Entreprise policies, Luisa Cid, has introduced the work of the conference.The results of the previous meeting have been presented and analysed. These were then discussed in a collaborative manner by citizens and policy makers taking part at the InfoDay. The debate was especially focused on best practices and experiences of each country concerning the democratic processes and in particular on the case of e- democracy and Digital Agenda of Europe. Each partner showed experiences and successes stories of their own local and regional territory. During the stay in La Coruña the partnership had also the opportunity to talk about the coordination of the project and the forthcoming activities to be carried on.

Event 3 InfoDay Sandaski ( BG ) 6th of August 2015 – local event

Participation: 31 citizens from the local community of Sandanski
Place/Date: the event was held in Sandaski (BG) from 6th of August 2015 to 6 August 2015

Description:
The Workshop in occasion of the infoday in Sandaski was focused on the theme the Digital Agenda of Europe / Europe 2020. In the occasion, participants also debated about the Treaty of Lisbon and about participation of citizens in democratic life. Works started with the presentation of the Project, of the european network DICSE and the objectives to be reached, with particular attention to the use of ICT instruments. During the events the needs of the Community were analysed, with respect to the themes of the project and in particular the point of view of policy makers towards the request of citizens to participate to the democratic management was presented.

Event 4 - International Conference from 8th to 11th of September 2015

- Portugal nr. 4 participants from Cuba;
- Bulgaria nr. 32 participants from Sandanski.
Place/Date: the event held in Sandanski (BG) from 8th of September 2015 to 11th September 2015

Description:
The topic analysed with citizens during Infoday held in August 2015 in Sandaski organised by Bulgarian partnership, was analysed during the International Conference to which have taken part also policy makers of each regional partnership. The event was held at the Conference Center of "Sveti Nikola" in Sandanski and the Bulgarian delegation was represented by the Mayor. The results of the previous meeting have been presented and analysed. These were then discussed in a collaborative manner by citizens and policy makers taking part at the InfoDay. The debate was especially focused on the following themes: computer literacy and Digital Divide. The debate was carried on about good practices and the experience of each country especially about democratic processes with the help of e-democracy and Digital Agenda for Europe. Each partner presented through slide/movies, the experiences of each own local and regional territory and the success stories. In this occasion questionnaires were filled out by participants. The International Conference faced the theme of computer literacy process and Digital Divide, that together to other findings may stop the democratic participation of citizens to the management of public affairs. The Conference aimed to stimulate policy makers in promoting the use of new technologies by citizens, by combating the phenomenon of “digital divide” and to encourage their literacy in the use of Internet and web services also inside the Public Administration, therefore to find new instruments and new manner of citizens’ involvement in implementing "SMART" local communities.

During the permanence on behalf the partners group of the Project in Sandanski was devoted a space of discussion on the coordination of the project and established the following activities. During the stay in Sandaski the partnership also had a meeting aimed to talk about the coordination of the project and the future activities to be carried on.

The Workshop in the occasion of this Infoday was focused on the theme of Digital Agenda of Europe / Europe 2020. 6 International Conference from 21th to 24th of March 2016

Participation: 58 citizens, of which 18 from:
- Italy nr. 6 participants from Reggio Calabria;
- Spain nr. 4 participants from La Coruña;
- Poland nr. 4 participants from Gniew;- Bulgaria nr. 4 participants from Sandanski;
- Portugal nr. 40 participants from Cuba.
Place/Date: the event was held in Cuba (PT) from 21th of March 2016 to 24 March 2016

Description:
The theme initially dealt with citizens during Infoday held in March 2016 in Cuba by the portuguese partnership, was deepen during the International Conference to which policy makers of each regional partnership took part. The first part of the acitivity was held at the Municipality of Cuba, where foreign delegations were received by the Mayor João Manuel Casaca Português who took part to the works. Subsequently, the Conference has been enriched by the conduct of an "e-participation and urban maintenance" Laboratory, held at the Library of the Municipality of Cuba and with the presence of citizens and experts in this field.

DICSE partnership presented the results of the previous meeting and an analysis was conducted on the following topics: e-participation (the participation of citizens in the administrative processes through the use of ICT), by and with the presence of citizens and policy makers that have taken part to the InfoDay, by confronting on good practise and the experiences of each country on democratic processes in particular recalling the experiences of e-democracy and Agenda of Europe 2020. Each partner presented through slides/clips, the experiences of each own local and regional territory and success stories. Also in this occasion questionnaires were filled in by participants.

The Conference promoted the meeting with local entities/citizens and foreigners participants and has created an incentive thanks to the discussion about the analysis of “digital” needs of citizenship and instruments of e-participation to administrative processes. In fact it appears necessary to put together ideas and proposals concerning to the participation of citizens in order to contribute to sustainability of local government thanks to the use of web participation. The methodology used has been of open-space, already proved during the infoday.

During the permanence in Cuba a steering group meetin of the partnership was held to discuss about the coordination of the project and forthcoming activities.

Event 8 International Conference from 12th to 15th of April 2016

Participation: 55 citizens, 18 of which from:

- Bulgaria nr. 4 participants from Sandanski;
- Poland nr. 37 participants from Gniew.
Place/Date: the event was held in Gniew (PL) from 12th of April 2016 to 15th of April 2016

Description:
The Conference promoted the meeting with local entities/citizens and foreigners participants through a workshop: "Communicate Social with citizens" where a good discussion concerning to Social Media and active networks of citizens through new forms of active citizenship took place. The Conference was held at the "The Gniew Castle" hotel, with the participation of the Mayor of Gniew, Maria Taraszkiewicz-Gurzynska and public officials from Gdynia, with the presence also of experts in the field of social and public communication. The fourth International Conference has completed the cycle of useful thematic to understands the theme of participation by citizens especially in digital environment. The conference was the occasion to underlined the importance of the participation of citizens to social and political life of a Community, in fact it highlighted the needs of integration of citizens within the Community. The debate that has characterized the Conference has allowed to reflect about methods and about the quality of democracy. In particular, the importance of social media in the active participation of people was underlined because the exchange of information allows to interact in real time with institution that produces information. Participants have developed recommendations and proposals to European institution about thematic concerning the Project. During the permanence of the group in Gniew was also held a steering group meeting concerning the co-ordination of the project and the organisation of forthcoming activities.

Event 9 International Conference from 11th to 14th of May

Participation: 175 citizens, 28 of which from:
- Portugal nr. 7 participants from Cuba;
- Spain nr. 7 participants from La Coruña;
- Poland nr. 7 participants from Gniew;
- Bulgaria nr. 7 participants from Sandanski;
- Italy nr. 147 participants from Reggio Calabria.
Place/Data: the event was held in Reggio Calabria (IT) from 11th of May 2016 to 14th of May 2016

Description:

The final Conference was conducted in the occasion of “Europe Day” that usually the Municipality of Reggio Calabria organise in a week and outdoor. The event ( IC ) was conducted in two parts: the first part with the organisation of the international meeting at the University Mediterranea the 12th of May with a large number of attendees. After a brief presentation of of the Project DICSE and its activities and results expected, there were interventions of Prof. Francesco Carlo Morabito (deputy vice-chancellor of the University) and Prof. Francesco Buccafurri (intervention about ICT Instruments, e-participation and e-dialogue). The Portuguese partner presented the "Digital Guide" as a result of the Project DICSE developed through the analysis of the survey conducted throughout the project. Then each regional partnership commented the result of each own participation to the Project and the objectives achieved.

The conference was also the occasion to extend the thematic concerning to the participation of citizens conducted inside the DICSE Project, by introducing the topic of host policies and integration conducted in the communities of immigrants through the participation that gives priority to the use of ICT. In fact, the second part of the event was conducted inside the prestigious "Teatro Cilea” on the topic: European migration policy - a strategic approach between solidarity and participation. About 100 people have taken part to this event with the presence of political authorities and representatives of civil society. The theme was the participation of immigrants hosted in the territory of the partner countries through the use of ICT as a tool of hspitality and integration with reference on the 8th priority of Junker Agenda ( 2014 - 2020 ). The conference was conducted with the formula of talk show, in fact a conductor took care to interview to the experts about the theme: Giuseppe Falcomatà, Mayor of Reggio Calabria; Giuseppe Marino, Councillor for Welfare and European Policies; Andrea Cozzolino, Member of the European Parliament; Alessandro Giordani, European Commission – DG Communication, Office “Dialogue with citizens". The final event represented the perfect framework for the subscription by Mayors of each Municipality that was partner of DICSE Project, of the Memorandum of understanding (MOU), as a tool thanks to which each partner territory will encourage the culture of dialogue among citizens and authorities. Encouraging the use of common initiatives of the Digital Agenda for Europe creating the basis for a continuative cooperation among partner also at the conclusion of the Project.

During the permanence of the group in Gniew was also held a steering group meeting concerning the co-ordination of the project and future space of cooperation between regional partnership that was measured about conducting of DICSE Project.
